Sinn Féin’s Sinead Flynn has been elected chair of the Ballybay Clones Municipal District.
The first time councillor was elected just over one year ago when she put her name forward for the first time to be an elected member of Monaghan County Councillor.
The Threemilehouse business woman was proposed by her Sinn Fein colleague, Cllr Pat Treanor and her appointment was seconded by Cllr Seamus Coyle.
Cllr Flynn said it was her absolute privilege and a great honour to be elected as the Cathaoirleach of the Ballybay-Clones Municipal District.
She said she has the energy, focus and commitment to represent the people of every corner of the MD. The Sinn Fein Councillor says every village, every town, every townland and every person in the area matter and she promised to be a voice for all during her tenure.
