A local publican is preparing for “the Clones bank holiday weekend” on Sunday.
Ross Adamson, from Adamson’s Bar in Clones is getting ready for the Ulster Final this weekend.
The pub has been open for 44 years, and Ross says that the Ulster Final weekend is always special.
With large crowds emerging on the town, the publican says that deliveries have been coming in all week.
The Clones man believes, that with Monaghan playing in the final, the Clones diaspora will return home for the occasion.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Ross said that his storeroom currently looks like Newgrange at the Summer solstice.
Ross said: "You have bank holiday weekends, but this is a Clones bank holiday weekend. The whole Clones diaspora, they all come home.
"The preparation that goes into this is phenomenal. I got my first delivery in today, there will be deliveries tomorrow, deliveries the next day.
"Our stores will be like Newgrange on the Summer solstice, just a little passage down the middle. It'll be an echoy room come Monday morning, after the final.
"Everybody talks about staffing issues, I've had ex-staff ringing me. It's a real stressful day, it's a hard days work - but there is an excitement there that you don't get anywhere else," Ross added.
