A local primary school has kicked-off the celebrations, ahead of this weekend's Ulster Final.
St. Tiernach's Primary School in Clones welcomed Rory Beggan, Cameron Dowd, and Michéal McCarville, to wish them well ahead of the decider.
The school was painted white and blue ahead of the game, with students wearing their Monaghan jerseys and brandishing flags.
Ahead of the big game on Sunday, some students shared who their favourite footballer is, with answers varying from Rory Beggan, to Dessie Ward, and just about everybody in between.
Meanwhile, it was a homecoming of sorts for Micheál McCarville.
The Scotstown man is doing his teacher placement in the St. Tiernach's- teaching Senior Infants.
He told Northern Sound, the students had never been so happy to see him.
McCarville said: "I've never seen them as excited to see me. I was teaching Senior Infants for a placement. They were frowning when I came in in the morning, because I do be cross the odd time in the morning.
"It is different. They're coming onto the field after matches. It is special. I'm an older head now too, you just want to enjoy it," he added.
