Close to 10,000 local children benefit from childcare supports

Close to 10,000 children across the Northern Sound region have benefited from supports under the national childcare scheme.
The NCS provides financial support to help families with their early learning and childcare costs.
It comes with two types of subsidies for children aged between 24 weeks and 15 years of age.

In Cavan, 4,583 children have benefited from supports so far this year.
While in Monaghan, 5,038 have availed of the subsidy.
Nationally, just over 220 thousand children are supported under the scheme.
