Co Monaghan cyclist killed in Middletown collision

The PSNI have named him as 62 year old Paddy McDonald from the Castleblayney area.

A man aged in his 60s has died following a road collision close to the Monaghan border in Co Armagh.
The collision involving a car and a cyclist occurred yesterday afternoon on the Monaghan Road in the Middletown area. A male cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The PSNI have named him as 62 year old Paddy McDonald from the Castleblayney area.

The road was closed for a period of time as officers conducted enquiries, but has since re-opened.

The PSNI are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision, and would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with our enquiries.
