Cathaoirleach of the Ballybay-Clones MD, Sinead Flynn has raised her concerns over the level of housing planned for the area.
Cllr Flynn thanked the Executive and all those involved in the preparation of the Capital Programme, and in particular the Housing Department for the work carried out in developing housing plans.
Despite this, she says it is evident that the level of housing planned for Ballybay-Clones is significantly lower than that provided for the other two municipal districts.
Cllr Flynn says our towns and villages, like all parts of the county, need additional housing, but they also require a consistent and sustained level of investment.
While this programme does represent some progress, it is modest, and I'm sure all my colleagues in the Ballybay-Clones Municipal District feel that our area has once again been overlooked.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr Flynn said: "We are not seeking preferential treatment. We are simply asking for fairness."
