Over €1.6 million has been announced for a number of community centres across Cavan and Monaghan.
Deputy David Maxwell has welcomed today's news that will see over €1.2 million is to be granted to a number of community centres around county Monaghan and over €400,000 for county Cavan.
These grants will help improve the facilities in all these buildings from new floors to fire doors, new roofs, new kitchens and improved toilet facilities among others. Deputy Maxwell wanted to thank all the committees who worked on the applications and got them across the line for today's funding stream.

Ardaghey Community Centre Committee To fund the refurbishment of the kitchen and to install an access ramp €65,220
Monaghan Aughnamullen Sarsfields GFC To fund improvements by installing a new suspended ceiling, energy-efficient lighting, durable flooring, double doors and new toilet facilities €99,450. Monaghan Christ Church Ballybay Christ Church Community Hall Ballybay To fund the renovation of the current toilet and kitchen area €49,18.
Monaghan Corcaghan Community Centre To fund internal painting, kitchen upgrades, new acoustic membranes and new external doors €52,007. Monaghan Cremartin Shamrock GFC Community Centre To fund the replacement of the flooring, andupgrading of the social area and toilets €100,000.
Monaghan Emyvale Leisure Centre Committee To fund the repair of the roof €100,000. Knockatallon Community Centre To fund refurbishment which includes floor upgrades, changing layout of internal walls and doors and internal painting and new furniture €100,000.
Monaghan Harps GAA The Monaghan Harps Community Complex To fund provision of roof insulation and the replacement of the existing oil system with oil condensing boiler and hot water cylinder €50,452. Mullaghmatt Cortolvin Community Development CLG Teach Na nDaoine Family Resource Centre To fund the installation of solar panels on the building and to replace the floor in their main hall €58,744.
Parish of Clones Clones Community Parish Hall To fund the replacement of the flooring and a new heating system €100,000. Monaghan The Roman Catholic Diocese & Parishes of Clogher Holy Family Community Hall To fund the upgrade of the fire alarm system, emergency lighting, the heating system and the electrical installation €100,000.
Monaghan Oram Community Development Association Oram Community Centre To fund the upgrade of the centre's energy system and to install solar panels to increase energy efficiency €89,100. Clara Community Development Association Clara Community Hall To fund a new roof €84,120.
Monaghan Scotstown GFC Scotstown Community Centre To fund the refurbishment of the main hall and upgrade the facility’s reception area €93,126. Carrickroe Community Centre CLG Carrickroe Community Centre To fund the installation of solar panels, replace fire doors and upgrade the interior lighting €45,000.
County Cavan Castlerahan Community Development CLG To fund improvements to the community centre including tiling, flooring, kitchen installation and roof repairs €100,000. Cavan Gaels GAA Club Cavan Gaels GAA Club To fund the installation of a fire escape along with energy upgrades €36,161.
Denn Developments CLG Crosskeys Resource Centre To fund the upgrade of windows and doors and lighting systems €37,000.
Kildallan Community Association CLG Kildallan Community Centre To fund an extension of the centre to install new kitchen and toilet facilities €99,000. Killinagh-Glangevlin Pastoral Council Killinagh-Glangevlin Community Hall To fund a new floor, skirting boards and handrails, along with upgrades to the centre's electrics and fire doors €25,969.
Virginia Show Centre Limited The Virginia Show Community Centre To fund energy efficient boilers, toilets renovations, kitchen enhancements and the installation of a curtain €32,850. Laragh Area Development Group CLG L.A.D.G. (Laragh Area Development Group) Stradone Community Centre To fund the installation of solar panels and upgrade of kitchen facilities €72,290.
