Gardai in Cavan investigating the believed inappropriate approach of a child by a man in Cavan Town on Friday say investigations have found that there was nothing untoward in relation to the incident.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that enquiries were being made following the alleged incident being reported.
Investigations continued over the past 24 hours and the matter has now been resolved.

Gardai had been combing CCTV from the area and had been making door to door enquiries since the investigation was launched.
