A local award winning performer has praised the transformation of theatre opportunities in Cavan.
Jenny McCabe, originally from Cavan, has recently won her third AIMS award as Best Supporting Actress, for her role in North East Musical Society's production of Dear Evan Hansen.
She noted that young people now have far greater access to performing arts than previous generations.
She praised local stage schools and drama societies.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Jenny noted the importance of local theatre for a new generation of performers.
