Lakeland Dairies, in conjunction with Teagasc, will be hosting a Summer Farm Event on Wednesday, 23rd July at the farm of David Williamson near Bailieboro.
David farms alongside his three sons: Ian, Alan and Glen. The Williamsons have invested in significant upgrades on their farm over the past few years which will be discussed on the day. The event begins at 11.30 am.
Guest speakers will include Patrick Gowing, a dairy specialist and Head of Dairy Expansion at Teagasc, who will explain the essential principles for investing in farmyard facilities, applicable to farms of all sizes.
Additionally, Patrick Brady from the Land Mobility Service will lead on the crucial topic of farm succession management.
An IFAC expert will also be on hand to explore various farm business structure options, provide insights on managing cash flow and farm investments, and offer valuable tips on tax management.

The Irish Heart Foundation will also be in attendance and will be providing free health checks to all attendees.
