Gardaí investigating an assault that occurred in Killeshandra in the early hours of Sunday morning the 28th of September are appealing for witnesses.
Emergency services were alerted to a young man found unresponsive on the main street of Killeshandra at approximately 1:30am that morning.
The man, aged in his 20s, was brought to Cavan General Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A technical examination of the scene was conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit. Gardai have confirmed that investigations remain ongoing.
