Monaghan County Council has opened applications for community grants to host events during Climate Action Week 2026.
Grants of up to €500 are available for local groups to organise free public events as part of the week, which runs from 12th to 18th October.
This year's theme is "Act Local: Rethink, Repair, Reuse," with funding available for initiatives like repair cafés, biodiversity projects, workshops and sustainable living activities.
It's open to community groups, Tidy Towns, residents' associations and not-for-profit organisations (PPN members), with all events taking place in County Monaghan.
The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday, 17th July.
