The green light has been given for the change of use from office to tourism related guest house accommodation in Monaghan.
Retention permission for internal alterations to the two-storey Protected Structure located on 26 North Road, Monaghan was also approved.
The development will comprise of 6 bedrooms, ancillary accommodation, internal and external refurbishment works, and all associated site works,
Significant further information was received which relates to submitted Amended Architectural Impact Assessment report,
Despite a number of submissions from local residents against the change of use which was submited by Carduff Developments Limited, the devlopment recieved the go-ahead with 6 conditions attached.
Concerns within the submissions echoed the location that is beside a local school and the St Peter's Lake.
Residents highlighted that they were worried that it would not used for tourism related accomadation for the town of Monaghan.
