Farmers in the Northern Sound region are being encouraged to check their health.
This is a part of the IFA Farmer Health Checks Programme, following the award of funding by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine under calls for farm safety, health, and wellbeing projects.
The programme is delivered by IFA in partnership with Croí Heart & Stroke Charity.
IFA Ulster North Leinster Regional Chair Maurice Brady said the programme makes it easier for busy farmers to prioritise their wellbeing and has already led to the early detection of serious health conditions.
The programme will be coming to Cavan Dowra Mart on Friday.
Later this year the service will come to Cavan again in Virginia Show on Wednesday 19th August, and then to Monaghan Ballybay on Friday 11th September.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Maurice Brady, explained the importance of the service and how it works.
