Residents appear to be comfortable in a designated centre for disabilities in Monaghan.
An unannounced inspection was carried out at Tullycorra House in March of this year.
It was reported by the inspector that residents appeared happy and content in the home on the day of inspection
HIQA inspectors found the home to be compliant with most regulations, substantially compliant in two and not compliant in one.
In governance and management the home was found to be not compliant.
The inspector noted there was clear line of authority and accountability in the service, but the governance and management arrangement needed an in depth review.
In its compliance plan the provider noted that a review of the person in charge structure has been undertaken, among other measures to improve the governance and management in the home.
Overall, inspectors observed staff supporting the residents in a professional and caring manner at all times.
Resident were described as relaxed and comfortable in their home and also appeared to enjoy being in the company of the staff team.
Staff were also respectful of the individual choices and preferences of the residents.
