Cavan County Council says applications are now open for Housing Adaptation Grants for Older People and Disabled People, Mobility Aids Grants, and Housing Aid for Older People.
The scheme is currently accepting Priority 1 and Priority 2 applications.
Priority 1 applies to people who are terminally ill, dependent on family or carer support, or whose home adaptations would support them leaving hospital or residential care.

Priority 2 applications include people who are mobile but need access facilities like bathrooms or bedrooms or the person's ability to function would be harder without adaptations.
Cavan County Council said Priority 1 cases will continue to take precedence, with Priority 2 approvals depending on demand and available funding.
