Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a man in the Mill Road area of Aughnacloy, close to the Monaghan border.
The body was discovered yesterday.
According to the PSNI, a post-mortem examination will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
There is no further information at this stage.
Sinn Féin Colm Gildernew has said the community are shocked and sadden to learn that a man has lost his life in the Mill Road area of Aughnacloy.
In a statement issued to Northern Sound, the Fermanagh South Tyrone MLA said: "The community are shocked and sadden to learn that a man has lost his life in the Mill Road area of Aughnacloy.
"I want to express my sympathies and thoughts with the man's loved ones as the come to terms with this heart-breaking news.
"Police are investigating the circumstances of his death and I would ask the public to avoid speculation whilst the investigation is ongoing.
"I would also urge anyone with information to contact the police."
