A Kingscourt woman who feeds hundreds of homeless people in Dublin each week says things have only got worse.
Sonya McMahon from 'Help Our Homeless' run by her and her family offer food to the homeless in the city 365 days a year.
She feeds up on 200 people twice a week outside the GPO along with a outreach service seven days a week visiting tents in parks and beaches in the harder to reach areas across the capital.
Sonya said that it's important to let those who are most vulnerable know that "somebody cares" especially at this time of the year.
The local woman says that she has been helping the homeless for the past six years and she said seeing it first hand day in day out it's very sad seeing what these people have to endure all year around.
Sonya says it's heartbreaking to see people on the streets, adding that things have only got worse.
