Cavan based Lakeland Dairies has reported an operating profit of €42.2 million for last year.
The Killygarry based Co-op says the strong performance was based off the strong global milk prices and increased efficiency.
2 billion litres of milk was processed by the local company with €998 million in milk payments paid out to farming families.
Chief Executive of Lakeland Dairies Colin Kelly says that despite the strong performance, they're keeping a close eye on the situation in the US.
