A local councillor has outlined safety measures that are set to be put in place on roads around Monaghan Town.
Cllr. Seán Conlon was speaking about a number of safety measures that the Council are working on, including a pedestrian crossing on the R937 at Latlorcan in Monaghan.
The proposed crossing in Latlorcan will consist of the installation of a Puffin crossing, with a raised pedestrian crossing.
It will also see a refuge island installed, along with alterations to existing road markings, and additional public lighting.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr. Conlon said that the measures will take time.
However, he highlighted how important they are.
