A local councillor believes that we need to change the culture of using cars in our local towns.
Seán Conlon is a Sinn Féin councillor for Monaghan Town MD.
The councillor has been highlighting a number of safety measures that are being put in place in the town.
Speaking to Northern Sound, he highlighted that further safety measures may cause great congestion.
However, he noted that the number one priority should be safety.
Cllr. Conlon said that it will take time, but a culture change is needed.
