A local councillor has been speaking on a new initiative to help children get to school safely.
Sean Conlon outlined the Safe Routes to Schools initiative.
This is a national scheme aims to improve road safety around schools through upgraded footpaths, safer pedestrian crossings, and traffic calming measures.
The councillor said the measures are intended to reduce congestion and make it safer for children walking and cycling to school.
Speaking to Northern Sound Cllr Conlon outlined the scheme.
