A local councillor thinks serious questions still need to be asked over the recent RTÉ payment controversies.
Niamh McCooey says the broadcaster appears to be living through a "constant groundhog day" of scandal despite repeated promises of change.
She welcomed the Government's decision to bring RTÉ under the remit of the Controller and Auditor General, saying taxpayers deserve to know what is going on.
Cllr McCooey praised Cathy Bennet who has called on RTÉ to indicate why they sent 41 people to cover the World Cup playoff, calling it excessive.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, she said it's unfair to the taxpayer.
