The design report for several cycle paths across Co Monaghan are before the TII waiting on approval at present. The report for Emyvale Village, Ballyalbanny to Corracrin and also the Corlat roundabout to Collegiate College sections have been reviewed by Monaghan County Council.
The design report is a significant document in the design and planning process, as it addresses issues relating to compliance with TII design and safety standards.
A Part VIII planning application will be lodged on approval of the report.
TIl have replaced the NTA as the funding and approving authority for the N2 Active Travel section, extending from the Corlat roundabout to the Coolshannagh roundabout.
An allocation of €40,000 has been provided to progress this scheme through the Option Selection Phase of the TII Project Management Guidelines.
