The ESB area manager for the Northern Sound / Shannonside region says crews will continue to work through the bank holiday weekend to restore power to the remaining customers without.
The most up-to-date figure for the number of properties in Cavan and Monaghan without electricity was 7,000 this morning. Jarlath Doyle said that breaks down to 2,800 in Monaghan and the remainder in Cavan. And that's down from 10,000 yesterday evening.
