Figures for Family Resource Centres operating in Cavan and Monaghan have been revealed.
That’s according to figures released by Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley in response to a parliamentary question from Deputy John Clendennen.
Deputy Clendennen asked for the number of Family Resource Centres per capita in each county.
In response Minister Foley gave figures from 2022, which show Monaghan had two centres, while Cavan also had two.
Nationally there were 121 Family Resource Centres recorded in 2022.
Minister Foley also noted that 15 new centres have joined the programme since 2022, including one in Monaghan.
She says Budget 2026 has expanded the programme to 136 centres nationwide, with minimum annual funding rising to €180,000.
