A Co. Monaghan Senator has been encouraging farmers, and those using farm machinery, to be extra careful while out on the roads.
Senator Robbie Gallagher was speaking to Northern Sound during Tractor Safety Week.
The Senator noted that when the weather is good, there is one thousand and one jobs to be done.
However, when people are under pressure, working long hours, and tired.
He asked farmers to carry out safety checks on their vehicles to ensure their safety.
