A local man has been reacting to increases in fuel prices.
As the conflict in the Middle East moves into a second week, financial pain is being felt locally.
Gerry, a Cavan man, has been sharing his experience of witnessing the price hike.
He explained how he was quoted €970 for 1,000 litres of home heating oil on February 27th.
By midweek, he was told he could only receive 300 litres, and would have to pay €420 for it.
The nearly 86 year old described the whole situation described it as "being fleeced"
