A local senator has called for further Garda visibility surrounding the use of e-scooters.
Cavan Aontú Senator Sarah O' Reilly said while illegal to ride them on footpaths, this is being flouted with complete abandonment.
These calls from the local senator come following a visually impaired Cavan woman who claimed this week on Northern Sound that she is 'afraid for her life ' over the level of e-scooters in Cavan Town.
Joanne Gorman from Cavan Town who is clinically blind says she feels nervous every time she goes out of her house and this has become a real problem for her over the last year.
Senator O'Reilly said enforcement was needed now and she said that more Gardai were needed to police this issue on Cavan town streets.
