Home carers are leaving the sector due to job insecurity.
Cavan Aontú Senator Sarah O’Reilly says they are ready to work but she claims the HSE hadn't released funded packages of hours because it had gone over budget.
She also wants an upcoming Bill to give greater clarity on how inspections will work in practice to protect vulnerable adults who are inviting strangers into their home to care for them.
