The official launch of the Active Travel Scheme in Lough Egish took place this week.
Monaghan County Council said it was "delighted" to officially open the Lough Egish Active Travel Scheme on Monday.
The local authority said it was a significant investment in safety, connectivity and quality of life for the local community.
Speaking at the official opening which took place on Monday, Cathaoirleach of the Ballybay-Clones MD Sinead Flynn said this was a "very important scheme which provides safe footpaths for the people of Lough Egish."
Cllr Flynn believes the scheme is an important infrastructural investment not only for road users but for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
