A man believed to be in 40s has died following a quad bike incident in Co Cavan.
The fatal incident is understood to have occurred in Killeshandra this morning.
A local football match involving Killeshandra and Kildallan that was due to take place this afternoon has been postponed as a mark of respect.

Gardai have issued a statement in relation to this incident. Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal incident at a premises in Killeshandra, Co Cavan this morning, Sunday 24th August 2025.
A man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been removed to Cavan General Hospital and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have been notified and will attend the scene.
A file will be prepared for the Coroner's Court.
