A number of road and car park closures have been announced for July by Monaghan County Council
These are to facilitate the Monaghan Town Country Music Festival and Funfair which is taking place from July 15th to 22nd.
From Thursday July 18th to Saturday July 20th between 6;30pm and 12;30am, and Sunday the 21st from 2:30pm to 11:30pm, the LS5515 at Lower Mill Street between North Road and Church Square will be closed.
Also closed between these hours will be the R867 from Church Square to the Diamond and the N54 at Glaslough Street past the entrance to the car park at the Hive Restaurant via The Diamond and Dublin Street to Old Cross Square
Monaghan County Council have also advised that a section of the lower courthouse car park will also be closed from Monday July 15th at 8;00am until Monday June 22nd at 6pm.
Alternative routes will be in place and motorists are advised to follow diversions.
