Monaghan Road Policing Unit have highlighted a number of vehicles "well below" the legal tint limit.
In a post on social media over the weekend, Gardaí in Monaghan outlined that they detected a number of road traffic offenses on the N2 in Carrickmacross and Monaghan.
Gardaí explained that a number of the vehicles were en route to the Donegal Rally.

A number of speeding offences were detected and other road traffic offences including novice drivers not displaying N plates, and learner drivers driving unaccompanied, and not displaying L plates.
Fixed charge penalty notices issued for all offences.
