Co. Monaghan has the third highest percentage of students attending Gaelscoileanna in Ireland.
Figures released by the Minister for Education, Hildegarde Naughton this week, revealed that 11.5% of Co. Monaghan students attend a Gaelscoil.
This is behind Donegal at 12.8%, and Galway at 18%, both of whom have a Gaeltacht area.

The figures highlighted that there are four Gaelscoils in Co. Monaghan.
In Co. Cavan, 2.1% of students attend a Gaelscoil, with just one Gaelscoil.
