The mother of the victim of a hit and run in Monaghan says she will continue to pursue bail reform for the safety of other citizens out there.
Lucia O'Farrell spoke on the Joe Finnegan show this morning.
She addressed a Joint Oireachtas Committee on Justice, Home Affairs and Migration on bail reform yesterday afternoon.
Lucia's son Shane was a 23 year old law graduate, who passed away after being knocked down while cycling outside Carrickmacross in August of 2011, by a man who was a repeat offender on bail.
The driver of the car Zigimantas Gridziuska should have been in custody at the time of the killing.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Lucia said the family will continue to push for changes.
