Cavan County Libraries are reminding people the My Little Library Bag 2025 scheme is underway.
Libraries across the country have a free bag for every child starting school this year.
Each bag contains a book on starting school, a book on making friends or being comfortable to be yourself and a library card wallet.

There's also a range of resources for parents and children to support the transition to primary school.
The ‘My Little Library Book Bag’ initiative is a collaboration between libraries, the Department of Rural and Community Development, and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth as part of the First 5 Strategy.
