A total of over 3 million euro has been allocated to beef farmers across the Northern Sound region.
It comes under the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Programme, which aims to help farmers improve the environmental sustainability of the national beef herd.
The funding will be made available to 724 farmers in Co. Cavan and 485 in Co. Monaghan.
