Monaghan County Council has lodged an application for part 8 planning permission for the major redevelopment of St Louis Comnvent properties and grounds.
The application includes the demolition of non-original structures and repairs and conservation work to the Convent Chapel. The extensive works include the development of the St.Louis Convent Chapel and former Nursing Home, which, are both protected structures.
The convent chapel is to be converted into a small event space with mezzanine floor, while the St Louis Nursing Home Home will comprise of a café at ground floor level. The council's application also includes installation of a new public realm, extended car park and the installation of paved areas north east of the chapel.
