Planning has been approved for a new housing development in Smithborough.
Sunroc Developments Limited applied to Monaghan County Council to construct 13 new houses at Maple Grove.
The new houses are due to be located to the rear of an existing estate.

The 13 houses would be made up of eight three-bed, semi-detached and four two-bed terraced houses.
A new estate road, public open spaces, and reprofiling of site levels all made up part of the application.
Approval for the new houses was granted with 20 conditions attached, including that the developer's pay fees totalling over €100,000
