A ten year planning permission application is being sought for the proposed development by Old Mill Energy Limited.
The installation and operation of a battery energy storage system compound containing battery energy storage containers make up the submission.
1 electrical substation and compound, connected to the national grid system via c. 100m of underground cable to the ESB Lisdrum 38kV substation also form the application by Old Mill Energy Limited.
The operational lifespan of the development will be 35 years. The site of the proposed development has a total area of 1.03 hectares.
County planners will decide on the application by the start of 2026.
