Plans have been lodged for 46 new homes in Monaghan Town.
Clontibret company McGuigan Builders has lodged plans with a view to construct 46 new homes at Drumbear, on the outskirts of Monaghan town.
The planned development which, subject to planning approval, is expected to exceed €15m when fully complete.

Over half of that investment includes the proposed construction of 24 three bedroom semi-detached homes and five detached equivalents.
Two detached three bedroom houses spanning across one-and-a-half floors are also planned with the largest cohort of homes consisting of 15 detached four bedroom residences.
A decision is expected by Monaghan County Council by early August.
