A sustainable urban mobility plan has been created for Clones Town. Clones Town has a population of less than 5,000 people. This plan will not only be used as a template for Co Monaghan as a whole, but for the entire country being the very first of its kind.
The plan aims to enhance the sustainable movement of people in Clones and increase footfall in the town. It will also encourage local people to stay in the town centre area and to explore the local amenities available to them, as well as encouraging motorists passing by to stop in Clones Town.
A public consultation in relation to the plan will take place next month, while plans will be presented to members of the Clones Town Team on Monday, January 27th.
