A public meeting to raise awareness around Endometriosis will take place in Monaghan Town.
The event will take place tonight at 8pm at the Westenra Arms Hotel and is hosted by Sinn Fein's Cathy Bennett TD, Matty Carthy TD and Senator Maria McCormack.
Deputy Cathy Bennett highlighted the importance of this public meeting, especially when it comes to taking information back to Leinster house to ensure that women living with this condition can access better treatment and care.
With one in ten women suffering from Endometriosis, Deputy Bennett believes "radical change" is needed.
The local TD says the disease has been "overlooked by successive governments" and it's important to stand up for the women of Ireland.
