Ireland is basking in record-breaking May temperatures - but we're being warned the heat comes with risks.
A Status Yellow high temperature warning's in place for eight counties: Clare, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, Kilkenny, Laois and Offaly - until 6PM this evening - with maximum temperatures in excess of 27 degrees.
Met Éireann is warning of heat stress, water safety risks at lakes and beaches, and the potential for forest fires.
It's advising people to avoid the midday sun, stay hydrated, and take extra care near water.
