Specialist search teams are back on site at an area of open ground in north Dublin as the operation continues to find a young boy missing for a number of years.
The child - who would now be 7 - is presumed dead.
This young boy, who hasn’t been identified, is last known to have lived in The Gallery apartments in Donabate, a five minute drive from the site currently being searched.
Tusla raised concerns with Gardaí about his welfare on Friday. It says it previously engaged with the boy and his family, but this engagement ended in 2020, and there had been no new referrals or concerns until last month.
The search of open land on the Portrane Road is expected to last a number of days, and involves the work of local Gardaí and forensic experts.
The force says it’s been unable to find any evidence the boy is alive.
No arrests have been made as part of the investigation so far.
The local community has been rallying together to show their support for one another, and the seven-year-old boy, with a gathering on Donabate village green last night attracting a large crowd to light candles and pray.
