A tender will be issued for a bike rental scheme for Inniskeen via e-tenders in the coming weeks.
This is the second summer the scheme is not in place, after funding of close to €27,000 was secured for it under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
At a recent Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD meeting, Councillor Noel Keelan enquired what progress had been made towards the scheme and expressed concern about public liabaility insurance costs.

MD Co-ordinator Damien Thornton informed him that it would go to tender via e-tenders, so that it would be available to a "wider market".
