From next Monday, TFI Local Link Cavan Monaghan will introduce an enhanced route between Ballinamore and Cavan.
This enhanced route is a part of the Connecting Ireland Rural Mobility Plan which is a major national public transport initiative developed and funded by the National Transport Authority.
Route 929 will operate six daily return services Monday to Friday and five daily return services on the Saturday and Sunday.
While the route will no longer serve Corlough, it will now include two new stops: Crossdoney and Ballinamore Town.
The enhanced route will provide connection via the 572 service from Ballinamore to Sligo as well as peak-time and evening services, it will continue to offer connectivity to Cavan Institute, Cavan Bus Station to facilitate onward travel and to the villages and areas of Crossdoney, Killeshandra, Doogary and Newtowngore.
Speaking ahead of the launch, TFI Local Link Cavan Monaghan Manager Padraic Smyth says that they recognise the growing demand for public transport and are pleased that our close collaboration with the NTA has led to the enhancement of this existing service.
