Tractamotors Ltd has announced the sale of its interests in Tractamotors Tyres Ltd, Tyrecall Irl Ltd and Tyrecall Ltd to ETEL, a leading tyre distributor owned by the Japanese ITOCHU Corporation. ETEL, which already has operations in the UK, the Netherlands, and Italy. This will significantly expand its presence in the Irish market through this acquisition.
The transaction is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks, marking a strategic move that benefits all parties involved. This sale will strengthen ETEL's market position on both sides of the Irish border, enhancing their service offerings and operational reach. Moving forward, Tractamotors Ltd will focus on growing its other businesses in Cavan town , including Pitlane Tyres and Motor Factors, Tractamotors Topline Hardware, and Tractamotors Agri Machinery.
These businesses will remain under the ownership and management of the Clarke-Murray families and will continue to operate successfully in Cavan town
