Ulster GAA has paid tribute to a Cavan man who passed away yesterday.
Oliver Galligan served as the 37th President of the Ulster Council GAA from 2019-2022.
He was life-long member of the Cavan Gaels club in county Cavan and had successful career at club level playing senior for 17 years and winning three county titles.
He represented Cavan at all levels, captaining the county to the Ulster minor title in 1967 and playing senior inter-county with Cavan from 1969 to 1973.
Mr. Galligan will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan on Wednesday evening from 4pm until 7pm.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday in the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan.
Following Mass, the cortége will travel to St Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry for committal prayers and burial.
Ulster GAA is expressing profound sorrow at Oliver's passing and has extended their deepest sympathies to his loved ones.
